MetroEHS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Revenue Cycle/ Business Analyst to join our growing team! This position is a full-time opportunity located at our Headquarters in Plymouth.

The Revenue Cycle/ Business Analyst analyzes financial and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and root causes of issues within a healthcare organization's revenue cycle, which includes processes, from patient registration, to final payment. Key responsibilities for the Revenue Cycle/ Business Analyst include, developing and presenting data-driven reports, creating, and evaluating project plans to implement solutions, collaborating with departments to improve efficiency and prevent payment denials, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, proficiency with data analysis tools, and a strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding, and payer policies.

Your Impact 

As a Revenue Cycle/ Business Analyst at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, you will provide:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and root causes of revenue cycle issues. Prepare and present timely, accurate, and meaningful reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. 
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement corrective action plans, recommend modifications to procedures, and evaluate project plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and financial outcomes. 
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve operational glitches, payment denials, and other issues that impact the revenue cycle. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with finance, medical network, patient access, and coding departments to identify and resolve revenue cycle challenges. 

  • System Support & Optimization: Provide support for systems and technologies used in the revenue cycle, such as electronic health records (EHR) and billing software, to ensure optimal performance. 

  • Compliance & Payer Relations: Monitor and adhere to government compliance regulations and conduct analysis of insurance payer policies. 

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, business, healthcare administration, or a related field is often preferred, though relevant experience may substitute for a degree. 
  • Experience: Proven experience in revenue cycle management, financial analysis, or data analysis is required in a healthcare setting.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools like Excel, SQL, and EHR/billing software is essential. Raintree experience a plus.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying trends and resolving issues. 

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact with various teams and present findings to leadership. 

  • Healthcare Knowledge: A strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding (CPT, ICD), payer reimbursement processes, and patient access services is necessary. 

Physical & Environmental Requirements 

  • Prolonged Sitting and Desk Work: Remaining seated for extended periods (up to 6+ hours per day) while performing computer-based tasks, filing, scheduling, and data entry. 
  • Frequent Computer Use & Fine Motor Skills: Continuous use of keyboards, mice, and other office equipment; tasks require precise finger dexterity for typing, filing, and handling small office supplies.
  • Visual Acuity Requirements: Ability to read printed materials and computer screens for data entry, document review, and patient records.
  • Telephone & Verbal Communication: Constant phone interaction; clear speech and active listening are essential for scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and coordinating with clinical staff.
  • Light to Moderate Lifting: Lifting and carrying office supplies, paper reams (up to 20 lbs), patient folders, small equipment, or mail bins; occasional need to move office furniture or equipment.
  • Mobility within Facility: Walking between offices, therapy rooms, and other areas; negotiating stairs or uneven flooring; ability to navigate a busy, sometimes crowded reception area.
  • Stressful or Fast-Paced Environment: Managing multiple administrative tasks and patient needs concurrently; ability to prioritize under pressure and maintain composure during peak periods.
  • Shared Workspace & Open Office Setting: Working in cubicles or open-plan areas, which may include background noise from phones, printers, or conversations.
  • Exposure to Common Office Hazards: Potential for paper cuts, minor repetitive strain injuries (e.g., carpal tunnel), and ergonomic risks—requires adherence to proper workstation setup and occasional use of ergonomic aids.

Location

  • MetroEHS Headquarters in Plymouth, MI.

Status

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with some flexibility on start/end time.

Compensation 

  • Annual salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
